"Business"

Yay-ness! I’ve just finished taking my final final high school exams!

... and somehow have managed to make myself busy again. It seems to be a trait of mine, finding too many things to do. In the past couple of days as the trimester wound to an end, I’ve written another short story, edited a couple of others in hopes of eventually shipping them off for potential publication, submitted a couple of writing samples to a publisher, read a few more short stories from the collection I’m currently in, helped our school chess team win our first ever consecutive championship (and 2nd championship in the history, yay, go us), *takes breath* committed myself to brainstorming for ideas for how to conduct an outreach meeting for a club, started writing an essay analyzing my beliefs, started to commit myself to the goal of convincing our school board to create a basic logic/argumentation class before the end of the year (for the sake of my sanity, and for the sake of many others as well, I’m sure), practiced piano more than I have in a while, prepared to lead a youth group meeting later today, practiced a song on the guitar with my little brother, played a load of speed chess games in preparation for next week’s tournament, packing for this weekend’s trip out into the middle of nowhere, finish everything I needed to finish school-wise, wrote a quick online newsletter article for a forum I participate in, and, right now, written this blog post. Whew. I don’t think I even realized how much I’m working on until I tried to list them. What’s odd is that, just last week, I was looking forwards to having free time to just do nothing this week. Oh well, I think I sort of like being busy.

The only problem is that I seem to load myself up too much, so I always have the feeling that I didn’t get as much done as I wanted to, even when, I suppose, in the eyes of some others, I may have done a lot. Hmmm, I’ll have to spend some time thinking about whether this is a good or bad thing. o.O (And in retrospect, that was a monster of a sentence. Argh, the writer in me recoils with the thought that it could be much improved... but I’m feeling lazy at the moment, how ironic).

Wow.
Nice dude.
I totally feel you on the "finding too many things to do" thing.
Seems impossible to have "free" time lol
But that's quite an extensive list. Hope things work out that you don't burn yourself out!!
